When I started playing on the internet a few years back, I had one goal in mind, to show off my artwork. It's not that I thought I had anything worth saying or that my work was all that great. Nope. I just had a child-like desire to have people looking at my pictures. Little did I know that the days would pass and I'd find real love and make hesitant friendships. I'd be pushed into selling myself as an unlikable internet personality, just so I could get a spike in my pageviews, here and there. If you are reading this and aren't on my friends list, you can either piss off of go take a peek at SPARKLY KHARMII'S DEVIANTART PAGE OF SPARKLENESS.

I'm sorry you're getting such grief.

I've been fortunate so far; it is perhaps as much luck as anything else.

Best wishes!

Luck has nothing to do with it, I'm suspecting. It's probably a matter of how abrasive ones personality is. ;-D Thanks for the well-wishing!

You do know this isn't going to get your art positive attention, right? I have a DA page too but the last thing I'd want is to connect it to my online identity.

It's a personal joke. One can normally hear crickets on my Deviantart page, yet everytime I get into trouble expressing an unpopular opinion, I get spikes in my pageviews for days. It's a lot easier than comment whoring but gets negative attention.

HAHAHA, Screwa Ahyou sounds like a certain lady who hosts Fat Fighters meetings on Little Britain. I'll have to ask you how to do sparklies again, I forgot. Don't tell everyone though, we can't have a whole lot of wannabes trying to be sparkly like you! X-D.

It's a hard code. I had to cut and paste it into notepad so I could bring it up easily. I only have one background too. There's a way to put other backgrounds behind lettering, like different colored sparklies, leaves, dripping blood, etc. but I don't know where to get them. The background I have comes from so maybe if I went there, I could find more.

Hi there. I'm not here to troll nor to cause trouble (although I will be honest and say that I am a member of [ profile] sf_drama, which is how I came to be aware of you). I hope I am not wasting your time or making you uncomfortable.

I do not regularly read your journal, but a few days ago I happened to click on your username, and being an Aussie the word "Australia" stood out to me. I can't quite remember how, but I followed some links and came across a page where you'd posted pictures of Aussie "obscurities". Quite a few of the latter happened to be shots of American whiskys, as well as a comment about the gross difference in price.

Over here you are probably aware that they price alchohol very highly, at about $30 for a bottle of scotch, and obviously the fact the Yank whiskys were imported would make them more costly. However, I was genuinely shocked at how cheap you said whisky was in the US! And as something like JDs is popular or considered to be decent (hahaha) over here, it did not occur to me that it may be different over there, especially since so much advertising has reached our country.

I'm curious: what would be considered a decent American whisky to an actual American?

I hope you enjoyed your time in our country, by the way. Forgive me for intruding.

That's alright! It's interesting stuff, as I was astonished to see how expensive things were over there. Our good whiskeys would be Knob Creek and Crown Royal. They are about $25.00 for a fifth, which is $10-15 more expensive than a fifth of Jack or Jim Beam. Cognac is cheap here too. One can buy a bottle of Remy Martin VSOP here for $40 and the Remy Martin 1738 Royal Accord for $70, just as expensive as the JD there! A standard grade bottle of Remy, Courvossier or Hennesey would be $25 as well. Beer is extra cheap. One can get a case (or slab) of a domestic for anywhere between $9.99-12.99. Imported bottles, such as Stella Artois or Heineken, go for $6.99 for a six pack and $11.99 for a twelve pack. Everything is in bigger portions in the US too, which isn't necessarily a good thing, as our alcohism and obesity rates are very high. One can go into a bar and get a $2-3 draft and it will come in a glass 150% larger than in Oz.

I did enjoy the time I got to spend in Australia. Despite the costs, it's really beautiful along the coast and in the mountains. The parts I liked the best where the hilly farm areas full of sheep and cows. One doesn't see that in the Midwest because it's mostly flat and the farm land is used to grow corn, beans and wheat.

You've gotta be pulling my leg! THAT CHEAP? AND BIGGER PORTIONS, TOO (I already knew about the difference in fast food sizes, but for alcohol)? I suppose I must consider that you've an entirely different economy then us, but as you said, it is astonishing!

Thank you very much for the info! I now endeavour to try these good whiskys (although Crown Royal has already decided that my country's regulations are wrong and have restricted me from their site, hahaha).

Glad to hear that you had a good time, here! Our land is really quite something, although one doesn't think of it as often as one should.

I love your icon, by the way!

Hi :-)

This user Imagevoembyl

Added me to his/her journal and uh, I don't know, in her/his profile there's a bunch of weird stuff and at last I ended up here... So like, what is going on? :P

Any help would be appreciated :-)

Reported. Thanks for that!

It's a scam. Be careful what links you click when you look through that person's entries. This voembyl is pretending to be a sick, sad real person and has scam links posted throughout his/her entries that may put ad ware on your computer or phish for personal information.

A long while back, someone copied my data foaf from an old profile. They then created countless journals with my information on them. It's really a bother but support is trying to delete them all.

Hey, I just had to friend you. I love your comments over at conservatism, as well as your bio page. You seem to have a very intriguing brain. ;-)

I promise I'm not a stalker, just another redhead in glasses who's been banned from stupid-free. Friend me back?

Date: 2009-09-01 01:04 am (UTC)

Sure! Most of my friends on LJ are people I don't know in real life, and I'm always willing to make new friends. I liked your comments too, like how you work hard to put your child in private schooling.

What did you get banned from stupid-free for? Did you say something that really irritated them? HAHAHA!! I have a sweet gag planned for the next time I manage to offend them.

Apparently, I'm a troll.

I happen to really hate double standards. If one group is going to "reclaim" a word, then it should pass into the english language as a word acceptable for everyone.

I hate the word nigger. I wish that nobody used it, ever. That said, what I hate even more is the attitude that a special group can have special rights and a special language, and the divisiveness that causes.

Nobody is ever going to learn to get along until we can see each other as equals, without whining, special rights, and playing the victim card.

So, there you have it. I'm a horrible person, and I deserve to die.

Whatever. :-/

Aaaahhhh....race wank. That's the thing that fills them with the most righteous indignation. I don't see why your opinion is so unreasonable? I'm sure a lot of black folks cringe when they hear that word in rap music. It's just ridiculous that a community specializing in bullying and trolling will accuse you of being a troll.

Yes, but I'm a conservative religious person, so that makes it open season! Now, every single thing I say will be taken in the worst possible way, and any attempt to clarify will be called "backpedalling".

I don't bother trying to reason with them. Once they reveal their prejudice against conservatives, that's when I start messing with them. Once they've labeled a person, then that person is forever on their shit list (see: tigerwolf effect).

From: [identity profile]
Seriously. WTF is up with that? I've never seen that sort of group behavior before I saw stupid_free. Now I'm noticing that it's spread like a cancer all over LJ.

I think that concerns about the economy are polarizing people, making them more contentious, more easily offended and more likely to be general douche bags. It also seems like people who could never be bullies in real life are making up for lost time online. In any case, they're not people I'd choose to hang out with anyway.

One thing I can say for a good wankfest though, is that the people getting roasted usually end up being the people I get along with the best. Hmmm, all the whiny liberals seem to hate them - I've got a new friend! I've met some really amazing people that way. :-D
